The resort was built specifically for camp with a wooded background and amazing views from the cabins. Sugar Bay can comfortably accommodate up to 200 children at any one time.

Sugar Bay boasts a huge sports field, 25m swimming pool, a paintball arena, a massive recreation hall, climbing wall, obstacle course, a tree swing, Skate Park, high and low ropes courses and much, much more. In total over 100 different activities are offered to campers and with a free choice system each child is given the opportunity to try out new, fun and adventurous activities

Accommodation is a far-cry from the days of veldt school! Luxury log-cabins with bathrooms en-suite and balconies with stunning views are what are in store for our campers. Sugar Bay has 14 cabins with girls and boys sleeping in separate ones. In each cabin there are between 10 and 18 campers – with 2 larger cabins that can accommodate up to 25 campers – as well as space for three to six counselors to supervise during free times and at night. Each cabin has electrical outlets and storage space for clothing, including closets and shelves for folded items. Our housekeeping staff clean the bathrooms daily while the campers and counselors keep the main area of the cabin in order.

Outside of the main property the luxury continues. Just a few minutes walk down the road, is our private access to Zinkwazi lagoon and beach, an aquatic paradise!

Sugar Bay also has private access to a secluded camping spot, on one of our neighbouring sugar cane farms, where the famous ‘Camp Outs’ take place. With a purpose built shelter and hammocks to sleep under the stars.
