Every parent hopes their child will grow up kind, confident, and unafraid to be themselves. The world can feel big and complicated sometimes, and that’s exactly why we created Zootopia Week at Sugar Bay. Inspired by the Disney film Zootopia, this themed camp (taking place from 9 to 16 December 2025) brings to life the heart of the movie: that anyone can be anything, and that friendship, courage, and kindness can change the world.

Inspired by Zootopia, Created for Real-Life Lessons

In Zootopia, Judy Hopps teaches us that no dream is too big and no challenge is too hard when you believe in yourself. Nick Wilde shows that people can change when given understanding and trust. Together, they prove that true friendship is built on respect, empathy, and teamwork.

At Sugar Bay, we want campers to experience that same feeling. Each day is filled with team-building challenges, creative projects, and themed adventures that bring out courage and compassion. Campers will learn to look beyond differences, celebrate individuality, and work together just like the characters in Zootopia do.

Whether they’re building “Zootopia City” in a group challenge, taking part in obstacle courses that test teamwork, or creating art inspired by their favorite animal characters, every activity has one goal: helping children learn that the world is a better place when everyone belongs.

What to Expect During Zootopia Week

Team Spirit and Friendship: Campers will join mixed teams inspired by Zootopia’s diverse characters. Together they’ll face fun challenges that build trust and cooperation, learning that every skill and personality adds something special to the group.

Creative Adventures: From designing animal-inspired accessories to participating in themed scavenger hunts, campers will dive into a colourful world of imagination and teamwork.

Friendship & Confidence Activities: Every day includes chances to express themselves through games, crafts, and performance nights that encourage bravery, connection, and fun.

Storytelling and Campfire Moments: Just like Judy and Nick’s unlikely friendship, campers will share stories, laughter, and songs around the fire, learning that kindness and courage come in many forms.

Themed Parties & Celebrations: Expect vibrant décor, costume nights, and a “Zootopia City Festival” where kids showcase their creativity, teamwork, and friendship achievements for the week.

Our 1:3 staff-to-child ratio is the highest in the country, and 24-hour supervision ensures that your children are kept extra safe while having the time of their lives. Our camp counselors are specifically trained and experienced in the growth and developmental needs of the different age groups, as well as Emergency First Aid & CPR. We also have our own qualified lifeguards who accompany the children to the beach, lagoon, and swimming pool.
