Eurovision Week is a celebration of music, performance, creativity, and self-expression. This April, Sugar Bay is transforming into a fully immersive Eurovision-inspired environment where each day highlights a different winning country or iconic Eurovision moment.


Whether your child is a born performer ready to take the stage or simply wants to soak up the high-energy fun and build confidence, this week is designed to make every camper feel like a star. Led by our energetic mascot, "The Host," campers will enjoy daily performance workshops focusing on dance, stage presence, and confidence building. Campers can even sign up to perform solo, duet, or group acts , with auditions taking place during our daily siesta periods.

New to Sugar Bay?

Sugar Bay stands out head and shoulders above every other South African camp since 2001. We are the only resort in South Africa that has been specifically designed and built as a children-only resort. Holiday camps are our primary specialty, and school tours are a secondary service that we offer out of the holiday season.


We offer sleepover camps for children between the ages of 7 and 17 years old. Our various transport options allow kids and teens from all over South Africa, and from all over the world, to enjoy the best school holiday they've ever had. We offer over 100 activities, and have a free choice system, in which children may choose what activities they want to participate in. There are no compulsory activities.


We make each and every week completely different from any other by giving it a unique theme. We introduce new activities, an extravagant themed dinner, and unforgettable weekly highlights to suit each theme. All these are in addition to our normal over 100 activities.

A Global Adventure: What to Expect During Eurovision Week

Every single day brings a new country, a new theme, and delicious meals representing the country of the day! Here is a sneak peek at our action-packed itinerary:


  • Monday (Sweden): We kick off with an energetic ABBA lip-sync performance. Campers will enjoy Swedish meatballs for lunch , and seniors will compete in a fully choreographed Lip Sync Jam complete with props.


  • Tuesday (Ireland): A day of traditional Irish line dancing and a camp-wide hunt to find the leprechaun's pot of gold for the juniors. Seniors will enjoy a transformed "Irish Pub Night" featuring karaoke, darts, and pool.


  • Wednesday (Netherlands): After a delicious continental breakfast , campers will head out on an exciting excursion to the Barnyard Theatre.


  • Thursday (Australia): G'day! Expect a carnival-style "Croc vs. Dundy" evening for juniors. Seniors will head down to the sand for a classic beach bonfire under the Southern Hemisphere sky.


  • Friday (Italy): We celebrate the weekend with a massive Pizza dinner and an incredible Party Night and Fire Show.


  • Saturday (The Grand Final!): The ultimate Eurovision Comes to SA showcase. Campers will perform in front of the entire camp , winning custom-made trophies for "Crowd Favourite," "Most Confident," and "Best Group Act".

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)


How much does the Eurovision Week camp cost?

The all-inclusive rate for this 7-day sleepover camp is R8 699, which covers luxury accommodation, 24-hour supervision, all meals, and standard activities.


What if my child doesn't want to sing or perform? No problem at all! While the week concludes with a full-scale showcase, performance is entirely optional. Campers can choose from over 100 other activities, including our Euro soccer tournament and arts in the sports hall, swimming, and beach trips. The emphasis remains on confidence, courage, and celebration.


Is transport provided to the camp? Yes! To make logistics easy for out-of-town parents, we offer a Joburg Bus (departing at 07:00 am) and an Airport Bus (departing at 09:00 am).


What are the age limits for this camp? Eurovision Week is open to all children and teenagers between the ages of 7 and 17. Our older campers (Advanced Campers/ACs) get their own exclusive evening programs, like Speed Dating, a 9 Square Tournament, and private pool parties.
