New to Sugar Bay?
If this is your first time discovering Sugar Bay, welcome.
Sugar Bay is a kids-only sleepover holiday camp based in Zinkwazi Beach on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast. Since 2001, we have welcomed children and teenagers aged 7 to 17 for school holiday camps filled with adventure, friendship, independence, and fun.
Campers can choose from over 100 free-choice activities, enjoy a screen-free holiday experience, and are supervised 24/7 by trained staff. With a dedicated 1:3 staff-to-camper ratio, Sugar Bay gives children the freedom to enjoy camp while parents have peace of mind knowing they are in a safe, structured environment.

A Football-Themed Camp During the Biggest Soccer Month of 2026
With global football excitement taking over June and July 2026, FIFA Week at Sugar Bay gives kids their own chance to be part of the energy.
While the world watches the biggest teams compete, campers at Sugar Bay will enjoy a soccer-inspired camp week filled with friendly competition, team spirit, creative challenges, camp games, and classic Sugar Bay adventure.
This is not a professional soccer training camp. It is a fun, supervised school holiday camp where football fans, active kids, creative campers, and first-time Sugar Bay campers can all get involved in the theme in their own way.
Whether your child loves scoring goals, cheering from the sidelines, designing team posters, joining cabin challenges, or simply being part of the excitement, FIFA Week gives every camper a place to belong.

What Happens During FIFA Week?
FIFA Week brings the spirit of football into camp through themed activities, team challenges, evening programmes, cabin bonding, and plenty of friendly competition.
Throughout the week, campers will take part in soccer-inspired games, team-building activities, creative challenges, and Sugar Bay’s usual range of free-choice adventures. The theme adds an extra layer of excitement, but campers still get to enjoy the full Sugar Bay experience.

FIFA Week Camp Activities
Beyond the soccer field, the week is packed with team spirit, creative energy, adventure activities, and moments campers will remember long after the final whistle.
Bafana Stars Selection
Campers will have the chance to show their skills, teamwork, attitude, and camp spirit as they take part in friendly soccer challenges throughout the week.
The goal is not just about being the best player. It is about effort, encouragement, sportsmanship, and being part of the team.
Selected campers may earn a spot in the much-anticipated Bafana Stars team, building excitement ahead of the week’s grand finale.
The Grand Finale Soccer Match
One of the biggest highlights of FIFA Week is the final soccer match between campers and counsellors.
This is where the energy of the week comes together. Campers cheer, teams compete, counsellors join the fun, and the whole camp gets behind the action.
It is less about winning and more about atmosphere, confidence, laughter, and the kind of camp memories children talk about when they get home.
Cheerleading, Posters and Team Spirit
Not every camper wants to be on the field, and that is exactly why FIFA Week is about more than soccer.
Campers can get involved through cheerleading, poster making, team support, creative challenges, chants, decorations, and cabin spirit activities. This gives every child a way to take part in the theme, whether they are sporty, creative, outgoing, shy, competitive, or just there for the fun.
Braai Night and Themed Dining
FIFA Week will also include a themed camp dining experience, bringing everyone together for a special evening of food, team colours, and camp atmosphere. With a braai night, themed décor, and plenty of team spirit, the dining hall becomes part of the celebration too.
Optional BOUNCE Excursion
Campers will also have the option to join a supervised excursion to BOUNCE, adding even more action to an already exciting week. This optional excursion gives campers a chance to enjoy movement, energy, and fun beyond camp, while still being supervised by the Sugar Bay team.

More Than a Soccer Camp
While FIFA Week is inspired by football excitement, campers will still enjoy the full Sugar Bay camp experience.
This includes a wide variety of free-choice activities, beach and lagoon adventures, creative sessions, sports, pool activities, evening programmes, cabin bonding, and time to make new friends.
At Sugar Bay, children are not forced into one set programme all day. They have the freedom to choose from over 100 activities, which means a soccer-loving camper can enjoy the FIFA theme, while another camper can still spend time doing creative activities, water activities, beach games, or adventure challenges.
That is what makes Sugar Bay different. Every child gets to experience camp in a way that feels exciting to them.

Safety During FIFA Week
At Sugar Bay, safety always comes first.
All FIFA Week activities, soccer games, team challenges, water activities, excursions, and evening programmes are supervised by our trained staff. Campers are supported throughout the week with 24/7 supervision, structured routines, clear safety procedures, and a caring team who are present across camp.
Our goal is to give children a holiday filled with freedom, adventure, and independence, while giving parents peace of mind that their children are in a safe and well-supervised environment.
