Holiday camps are our primary specialty, and school tours are a secondary service that we offer out of the holiday season.
We offer sleepover camps for children between the ages of 7 and 17 years old. Our various transport options allow kids and teens from all over South Africa, and from all over the world, to enjoy the best school holiday they've ever had. We offer over 100 activities, and have a free choice system, in which children may choose what activities they want to participate in. There are no compulsory activities.
We make each and every week completely different from any other by giving it a unique theme. We introduce new activities, an extravagant themed dinner, and unforgettable weekly highlights to suit each theme. All these are in addition to our normal over 100 activities.

Sugar Bay Runs Camps Every School Holiday
Sugar Bay hosts multiple holiday camps throughout the year, typically during the major South African school holidays. Each camp week has its own theme, which adds a fun twist to the programme.
However, it is important to know that the camps are not limited to the theme.
Children still enjoy the full Sugar Bay experience with over 100 activities available, regardless of the theme. The theme simply adds special events, competitions and creative activities throughout the week.

For the April 2026 easter school holidays, Sugar Bay will host three themed camp weeks.
All camps are open to children aged 7–17 and include accommodation, meals, supervision and access to the full activity programme.
Week 1: Marvel Week
Date: 1–6 April 2026

Marvel Week is one of the most action-packed weeks of the year. Campers take part in superhero themed games, challenges and competitions inspired by the Marvel universe. Expect team missions, obstacle courses and creative activities where campers design their own superhero identities. But beyond the theme, campers also enjoy the full Sugar Bay experience including beach adventures, sports, evening events and classic camp fun.

Week 2: Eurovision Week
Date: 12–19 April 2026

Eurovision Week celebrates music, performance and creativity. Throughout the week, campers represent different countries and prepare performances for the Sugar Bay stage. Some sing, some dance, others create group acts or theatrical performances.The week builds towards an exciting finale show where campers perform in front of the whole camp.

Week 3: Crazy Clay Week
Date: 19–25 April 2026

Crazy Clay Week is one of the most creative weeks on the Sugar Bay calendar.
Campers earn colourful clay through games and challenges and use it to sculpt imaginative creations throughout the week. Activities include creative competitions, messy games, themed challenges and a fun showcase where campers present their creations.

What's included in the cost?
Sugar Bay fees are all-inclusive. All costs include accommodation, three meals per day, activities, 24-hour supervision, and more. You can also book now, and pay later. You only need to pay an R1000 deposit to secure your child's place.
COST INCLUDES:
Access to over 100 activities: The choice is yours, there are no compulsory activities.
Equipment: Supervised use of all land and water equipment. Eg. Surfboards, kayaks, BMX bikes, skateboards, etc.
Three main meals per day: Fresh, healthy, tasty, and varied. Meals are different every day. Fresh fruits and vegetables are available at every meal.
Health Center facilities, if required.
A strict 1:3 staff to child ratio ensures that your child receives full-time supervision and individual attention.
Qualified lifeguards supervise all water activities.
